What is research and evaluation?
Research and evaluation are important parts of what we do at SSCY. Research is about trying new things, testing ideas and learning how things work. Research helps us learn new things and give you better care. Evaluations are done to make sure that we are doing the best things for our programs and services.

Who does research and evaluation at SSCY?
A lot of the SSCY Network partners do research and evaluation. You can learn more on their websites. Some of your doctors, therapists, and other staff at SSCY Centre do research and evaluation projects. Scientists from Manitoba and around the world do research at SSCY Centre too.

What kind of research and evaluation do you do at SSCY Centre?
We do research and evaluation to:

  • learn more about things that are important to kids, youth and families
  • give you better care
  • help you do more things that you want to
  • help you have the best life you can

Kids, youth and their families can join research and evaluation projects at SSCY Centre. Every project is different, and you get to decide if you want to join or not.
