Are you looking for ways to help your child with social skills and flexible thinking? Please join us for Build Your Parenting Toolkit! If your child has ASD or intellectual disability, and is between 7 and 18 years old, this learning series is for you. We will help you understand your child’s unique learning style and give you some practical tools to improve social interaction with your child. You can become your child’s best social partner and guide! Ten classes alternate between “parents only” learning sessions, and group “cooking club” sessions, giving you the chance to practice what you have learned. Presentation: Tech Talk

Manitoba FASD Family Network presents "Tech Talk" with Val Caldwell on Thursday, February 1, 6:30 - 8:30, in the Northern Lights room at SSCY Centre. Tech Talk is a 2 hour presentation that will provide participants with an overview of sexual exploitation and (more specifically) how the usage of technology (smart phones, the internet) plays a role in this issue.  It informs parents, care providers and helpers about what young people - and offenders - are accessing (Facebook, Snapchat, etc), and will provide valuable information on how to protect kids from the hidden forms of child and youth sexual exploitation.
