Learn how to write a social story

We would like to invite school and daycare staff, as well as parents to attend this workshop to learn how to write social stories.  Add a powerful strategy to your toolbox.

What is a social story?

It is a written story that is used to help a child with learning challenges to improve his/her understanding of particular social situations.

Social stories can be used to:

  • Teach a new routine
  • Teach the individual how to behave in a particular situation
  • Provide comfort and re-assurance around difficult situations
