March 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Manitoba FASD Coalition Inc. And the Manitoba FASD Family Network present:

Let’s Go Outside! Working with Children & Youth with FASD in Nature

Friday, March 15, 2019, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., SSCY Centre – 1155 Notre Dame Avenue

Many children with FASD are Naturalistic learners. This means that they learn more readily in natural environments, working with plants, animals and other aspects of the outdoors. Join us as we discuss working with children & youth with FASD outdoors in nature. Speakers form Momenta and the Rehabilitation Centre for Children will share stories and strategies from successful outdoor programs, including the Explore Summer Overnight Camp, the Foresthood Program, and the land-based SOS Chickadee pilot program. This presentation will benefit both viewers in Winnipeg and in rural/northern communities.

To attend in Winnipeg – please email coordinator@fasdcoalition.ca to hold a seat. Sessions may be available via Tele-video conference in some areas. Televideo  conference information will be available on a per session basis. Participants are invited to stay following the formal presentation to meet for further discussion of the topic & networking **NOTE** There is paid parking available in the visitor section at SSCY**
